This Basic Training Course is offered in cooperation with the Bundesakademie für Kirche und Diakonie (BAKD) and is aimed at professionals in all fields of church and social work and educational work who are active in a leading position, in a expert position (instructor, trainer) and in leading positions in committees, working groups and commissions.
Through the Training Course you will develop your own leadership personality, get to know and practice the TCI methodology and didactics, deal with your professional development and reflect on your own role in the organization / institution.
What's it all about?
- Reflecting your understanding of leadership and developing it with the Participative Leadership model of TCI.
- Developing your ability to make decisions and to take responsibility.
- Learning to deal with obstacles and disturbances.
- Developing a feeling for how to deal with competition in a team and how to use it for cooperation.
- Strengthening self-leadership and self-management; recognizing your own resources and using them.
- Reflecting on your values and your view of humanity and on this basis expanding your competence to act.
- Learning to analyze and plan with confidence using the four-factor model of TCI.
The Training Course enables you to lead working groups, learning groups, teams and committees on a solid methodological basis. You will develop your self-competence, your social and communication skills and gain more clarity and security in your role as a leader.
By learning together over a longer period of time, you can learn more about the dynamics in groups.
The entire Training Course takes about 2 years and comprises 126 work units of 90 minutes each. After the Decision-making Workshop, you will register for the entire training.

Introduction to the basics of TCI. Information on the training concept. Getting to know the group and the leaders
09.-13.02.2022
Experience, practice, try out TCI methodology
Reflection of own experiences with groups and teams. 4-Factor Model as an analysis and planning tool. The postulates of TCI in theory and practice. Dynamic balance. Leadership with theme and structure
21.-25.09.2022
From family experience to leadership personality
Reflection and development of one's own leadership personality on the background of biographical experiences
25.-29.01.2023
Communication and interaction in the group
Understanding and analyzing processes in groups and teams. Group phases. Team development. Conflicts. feedback
07.-11.06.2023
Using TCI in your own field of work
Conducting meetings and conferences. Promoting team development. Designing courses. Conducting difficult staff interviews
17.-19.11.2023
Certificate Workshop
Appreciation and feedback on the final report. Reflection of the group process. Presentation of certificates
To obtain the certificate 'Basic Training in TCI', two additional TCI courses must be completed outside this Pre-structured Training Course, which you can choose from the RCI's range of seminars.
